M Timothy O'Keefe

  Author, travel writer, photographer, self-publisher and former journalism professor

Tim is former head of the Journalism Division of the Nicholson School of Communication at the University of Central Florida and now full-time writer, photographer and owner of GuideToCaribbeanVacations.com.

He has five self-published guidebooks through Larsen's Outdoor Publishing in Lakeland, one of Florida's largest publishers of outdoors-related books.

Tim is the author of Sea Turtles, The Watcher's Guide; Manatees, Our Amazing Mermaids; Diving to Adventure; Fish and Dive the Caribbean; Fish and Dive Florida and the Keys.

The Florida Outdoor Writers Association named Tim's Seasonal Guidebook to the Natural Year "Best Book" in 1997 and The Spicy Camp Cook Book "Best Book" in 1998.

Tim's other books include Caribbean Hiking and Hiking Florida.

Tim is a widely respected travel stock photo provider, specializing in Florida and the Caribbean, publishing in such magazines as Caribbean Travel & Life.
